the population/units is in the exact same place it is in the original: under the kingdom tab at the bottom of the screen. there you have all the same professions as normal, including farmers.
and yes, the champ does revive itself over time as far as i can tell.

woo 8D ohh yes, android does have that. mine only fades once though before turning off. you can tap it to bring it back to full brightness just the same. but i don't normally leave my phone idle with the screen on (on my phone you can double tap the status bar to turn the screen off without the butt...
