DL2 mechanic in DL1

I'm certain this question will be asked: why are we not introducing the mechanic we came up with for Dragon Lords 2 in the original game?

The answer is: We might, in time, introduce some of them. Majority of changes though are going deep into the core of the mechanic, not only on the back-end level. but general gameplay and economy. It's one thing to start a new realm with such changes, where everyone has to play by the new rules from the beginning, and something different entirely introducing such drastic changes into the living ecosystem. There would be players who would be unhappy with the scale of the changes and they would be right.

The fact is, few of the changes can be implemented independently. Majority is bundled in one package, which relies on other pieces of the mechanic being there to make it work properly.

Finally, all the changes you are reading about are well thought through and calculated/simulated, but they are still only models. How accurate they are only testing with actual players is going to tell. It's almost certain that a large part of what we have in place today will be adjusted, changed or even removed before the launch.

Before making ANY change in existing DL mechanic we would have to have a large degree of certainty that it will not have a negative effect on how the game operates right now.
'I'll have it up in no time.' is an official term of the United Blood Elf Engineers' Union. It should not be interpreted as a reasonable estimation of the actual time it will take to complete a task in any way, shape, or form.

Some changes are harsh but needed in times
